1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Louw Alberts Psychology Practice website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Louw Alberts Psychology Practice provides:

• Individual, couples, and family therapy sessions
• Online and in-person counseling services
• Wellness products for mental health support
• Online booking and appointment management system

3. Appointments and Bookings

Booking Policy

• All appointments must be booked through our online system or by contacting reception
• A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your booking
• You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details

Cancellation Policy

• Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may not be eligible for refunds
• No-shows will be charged the full session fee

4. Payment Terms

• Payment can be made via EFT or credit/debit card
• Deposits are non-refundable unless the appointment is cancelled by the therapist
• Outstanding balances must be settled before booking future appointments
• All prices are in South African Rands (ZAR)
• We reserve the right to update our pricing with reasonable notice

5. Confidentiality and Professional Ethics

Our practice adheres to:

• Professional standards set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Strict confidentiality of all client information
• Ethical guidelines for psychological practice

Exceptions to Confidentiality: Information may be disclosed without consent when:

• Required by law or court order
• There is a risk of harm to yourself or others
• Child abuse or neglect is suspected

6. User Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and current information

7. Product Purchases

• All product sales are final unless the item is defective
• Products must be collected or delivered as per your chosen method
• We are not responsible for items damaged after delivery/collection
• Product availability is subject to stock levels

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the best possible care:

• Therapy outcomes cannot be guaranteed
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Louw Alberts Psychology Practice and is protected by copyright laws.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiation between the parties
• Mediation if negotiation fails
• Arbitration or legal proceedings as a last resort
